I have put off writing this post because I was in denial. Seeing them in all their new 0-3/3 month clothes has made me realize that the time has come to pack up the new born clothes. I thought I would show off some of my favorite outfits since they won't be able to wear them anymore.😥 My friend, Beth, got them these sleepers. These were some of the first non priemee clothes that fit the girls! I bought these on clearence with my mom one day. I really bought them for the shorts! They do not make many shorts for new borns. The girls ended up wearing onesies a lot this summer! My mom bought these dresses for the girls. Unfortunaliy, every time they wore them, one of them would have a blow out diaper! My mom got these from a lady that had twin girls last year. These gowns had never been worn! I wish I had a better picture of them in them! The colors really made their blue eyes pop! I love these dresses! It's too bad they grow out of cute clothes so quickly! I guess the good thing is they have a whole wardrobe of 3 months clothes waiting to fit them!

I forgot to add this picture in my family post! The baby in the middle is Elizabeth. I got her when my sister Emily was born. I was two and she was my first real baby doll. My middle name is Elizabeth so that must be where I got it from. The story I am told is I was playing with her and my Papaw asked, "Bethany, what is your baby's name?" Without hesitating I said, "Elizabeth". I had many baby dolls over the years but Elizabeth was my favorite. After posting this picture I told my mom I thought Jordyn looked like Elizabeth. I asked her to bring Elizabeth with her when she came to visit. We had so much fun with her! We had a third gown and decided to dress all three the same. This picture cracks me up because it looks like Adalyn is thinking, "What...when did we get another one!" We left Elizabeth on the floor under the activity gym thing over night. Everytime I walked by it freaked me out. I totally thought she was a baby. My mom and I started moving her around the house to mess with the other person. We tried putting her in Jordyn's crib and tricking Ashlan but she didn't fall for it! We swaddled Elizabeth and put her in the pack'n play in our room. Kyle had been out of town and had no idea what we were up to. He got home and went to take a shower. He closed the bedroom door and about 10 seconds later came out shaking his head. He said it freaked him out! The same thing happened to Emily too. She went in my room and walked out saying, "Okay, your Elizabeth doll freaked me out!" Anyway I thought I'd share our fun! So I decided I wanted to try blogging. We have so many family members and friends in Springfield, Lincoln, Florida, Indiana, Arizona, Ohio, and other places far from here. I wanted a place other than Facebook to keep people updated on the girls and our family. So here goes...my first post! 😊 What a difference a month makes! When we found out I was pregnant, people told us time would fly and it sure has! Even our days go by fast! I am able to 100% breastfeed the babies (thank you God!) I was told by so many, nurses included, I wouldn't be able to exclusivly breastfeed twins. With the support of Kyle and my mom, I have and I am! It is something I have always wanted to do and am so thankful God has allowed my body to do it. With that being said, the girls eat every 2-3 hours...usually 2. Feeding them still takes a while. It takes anywhere between 30-60 minutes. They typically fall asleep after they eat which gives me a chance to catch up on housework. I am always so surprised when 5 o'clock rolls around! This 2nd month has been nice because we are all home together. Kyle and I finally feel like things are "normal". We have a few routines down (which I'm sure will change). We have had a lot of family and friends by to visit and we even ventured out on a road trip recently. I feel like I am rambling a lot because I have a whole month of information. I will leave you with some pictures from this past month. :-) Month 1 and 2 comparison! They have really grown! We took a road trip to Holland, MI and learned trips take twice as long when you travel with kids! Half way to Holland we heard Jordyn fussing. We ignored it for a few minutes and after she kept fussing, I climbed back to give her the pacifier. This is what she looked like when I saw her! She had pooped so much that there was a puddle next to her. Her hand had gotten in it and she covered her left side. We stopped at a rest stop that was half a mile away. We spent an hour and a half cleaning and feeding. All in all, it was a nice visit once we arrived.:-) They both enjoy being outside and going for walks! We try to get out a few times a week. This is my all-time favorite picture from this month! |
