I’m pretty sure I say this every month but this little girl is one of the happiest babies I know! At home she does great staying busy and content. If we are at church or MOPS she skips a nap and gets clingy to me but days she is well napped she’s a peach! Speaking of peaches 😂, she loves them! I was planning on making purée foods like we did for the twins but ended up giving her an avocado in small pieces. She actually chewed it so I decided to go the baby led weaning approach. We let her feed herself foods like peas that are not messy but I feed her the messy stuff like bananas and avocados. I am amazed how well she does! We did purée carrots one night and she did not like them! I steamed them and cut them up another night and she couldn’t get enough! It’s funny to see her face when she first takes a bite. She has a look of disgust but then is fine and eats more. We tried oatmeal one morning and she was not a fan! We had to lower this little girl’s crib this month! She pulls up on the bars and sits on her knees. It’s only a matter of time before she stands so we got ahead of it. She is also now obsessed with sitting. I’ll lay her down and she sits up and watches me leave. There were a few nights where she’d have a panicked cry. I would go in and she would be sitting. I think she sat herself up but didn’t know how to lay back down. I’d lay her down but she’d just pop back up sitting. I’d find her asleep later in a sitting like position. It only lasted a day or two thankfully! Here is one of her where I think she fell asleep sitting. She has not improved any on the sleep through the night side of things. She takes 2 great naps. I usually wake her after an hour 15 in the morning. She’ll take a 2.5-3 hour nap in the afternoon. She goes to bed at 7pm and I wake her up at 7am. She usually wakes up at 10:30/11pm and 3 or 4am. She was eating and back in bed 15 min later but the last 2 weeks feedings have taken 20-30 min because she falls asleep as soon as I start feeding her. She has been eating pretty poorly during the day too so I’m afraid she is filling up at night and not as hungry during the day. It’s hard knowing. I really don’t want to do the Cry It Out route but I am thinking that is the only way to get her to drop those feedings and eat during the day. I never had to do it with her sisters. They just stopped waking up once we started letting them CIO falling asleep at bedtime. I’ll update on that next month! I think Llama Llama Nighty Night is her favorite book. When we read books with her before bed she lights up! She seems to really like the Llama book! I have no idea if she is tall for her age or not but she seems really tall to me! I guess I am comparing her to her preemie sisters though. The picture on the left you can see her toe sticking out of her jammies. 😂Those are 6 month pajamas and twice now she has busted a hole in the foot. I went ahead and got her 9 month pajamas out and was shocked they fit length wise! She was Princess Poppy for Halloween! We had a lot of fun that night! Trick or Treating in 70 degree weather was pretty amazing too! She was very interested in the other babies at our little Halloween party. We got this new play pin thing for Eden. It opens and closes super easy. I can do it with one hand! It’s kinda like those soccer chairs and it goes in a bag. I can put it under the stroller and take it to the park. Eden likes playing in here better than just sitting in the stroller watching her sisters play! Anyone with more than 1 kid knows how cute and annoying it can be. Poor Eden doesn’t get to play with her own toys. Her sisters forgot how much fun this one was and had to get in on the action. They actually all 3 played nicely with this toy. I can totally hear my parents getting on my case for messing with my younger sisters’ things. Sorry Mom and Dad! 😬 I get it now! Having more than 1 kid is also so sweet! These two big sisters adore their baby sister! Bath time is sure a lot more exciting! Target shopping just got a little more fun too now that Eden can sit up! Here’s a little picture comparison of the girls all the same age. I really think Eden is a good mix of both her sisters! Her personality reminds me of both her sisters too! She is super strong and always on to the next thing like Jordyn but she is also content to play by herself like Adalyn. I’m excited to see her personality continue to come out but I’m in no hurry! This one cracks me up! This is how far she pulls herself up. I’m sure next month she’ll be standing! Last one, I promise! I love the way all 3 of the girls light up for their daddy! Eden is no exception! She sees him and watches his every move. I had to start feeding her in her room in the mornings because she’d rather watch her daddy and get him to play with her instead of eat! It really is precious seeing your husband adore his little girls! Okay, I lied. I’m editing to add this picture. Kyle went to grab Eden because she was playing with the rug and it was time for breakfast. She grabbed the rug and held it all the way to the kitchen. I took a picture and then said, “Hold on, I want to take one on snap chat too.” Eden immediately dropped it like, “Oh, not snap chat! My followers can’t know about this!” 😂

The 6 month mark is a hard one for me because it is half way to a year! Having kids makes you realize how fast time goes, and with babies they change so much each month! It really seems like yesterday that she was born yet here we are watching her learn to sit and try to crawl. I think having gone through the first year with the twins makes me appreciate and hold on to Eden’s every stage. With the twins I was excited for the next new thing but with Eden I know a new stage means we are saying bye to another. She is becoming more and more mobile! Right now she rolls everywhere and scoots backwards. I’ll share a few examples below. She reaches really hard but can’t quite get her body to move forward. She is able to scoot forward in her sleep though! It’s exciting watching her learn to move but I’m also dreading the hard work that is ahead for me! It was so wonderful when the twins learned to move! It made my life so much easier once they could crawl down the hall. With a third kid, it’s nice putting her some place and her staying! Oh well, it’s part of growing up I guess. Like her sisters, Eden loves bath time! I bought that bath chair for the nights I have the kids by myself at bedtime. She loves to roll around in the tub but there is not room for that with all 3 in the tub at the same time. I used the laundry basket method with the twins when they were learning to sit, but again, no room with 3 in the tub. I found this seat on a Facebook garage sale page and like it so far! As of her 6 month birthday, Eden is sitting! She can sit for about 30 seconds but dives to the floor to reach for something. She just loves being on her belly so sitting doesn’t last long! I’m still obsessed with sleeping pictures and she’s still waking up once during the night. The twins were sleeping 12 hours by this point. Eden was doing better earlier with sleep but at 4 months started waking up. I am thinking it might have to do with me being less strict with a schedule. I protected nap time like a crazy person with the twins but since I only have one baby this time, getting off schedule isn’t as big of a deal. We’ll see how she does this month! *Edit she slept 8 hours on the night of turning 6 months so maybe we’re heading back to sleep filled nights! She has 2 teeth now! She cut her first tooth on October 2nd. She was crazy fussy and I could see it trying to poke through. She took an awful morning nap that day, like 20 minutes. She is normally pretty happy so with how fussy she was I knew it was coming! When she woke up from her afternoon nap she was back to her old self! I checked her mouth and sure enough, a tooth was showing! She cut the second tooth on October 11 but was much happier than the first time! Eden loves the swings! We have one at our house and she got to test one out at a park. She approves! We ended her 5th month at the pumpkin patch! She took a 2 min nap but was pretty happy the whole time! She liked seeing everything her sisters were doing and even got a pumpkin thanks to her sweet sister, Adalyn. Adalyn kept bringing her pumpkins until I finally just held on to one. Ashlan got to go with us too which was fun. We’ll be starting solids soon so next month we should have lots of food pictures!
