This cutie pie is the smiliest most content baby I know! She smiles at just about anyone that talks to her and loves to watch her big sisters play. I have about 30 min of just Eden time after her sisters go down for their afternoon nap. I'm so glad I have that 1:1 time with her because it's really my only chance to give her my full attention. This is a really great picture of Eden because she has become obsessed with her feet! She likes to grab them and put them in her mouth. Sometimes she just lays on her back and holds them like she is in this picture. Eden is starting to enjoy being on her belly longer than a few minutes! She is pretty good at lifting her head and looking around. I've also been able to give her toys and she'll kinda play with them! I mentioned Eden rolls and rolls...this is what I meant! We have to be careful where we put her now because she doesn't always stay put! I have never had hard living room floors before so this is new to me! I'm not quite sure what to do about floor time with her now that she can roll. I'm afraid she'll hit her head rolling on the hard floor but also know open floor time is good for her gross motor development. I might have to keep my eye out for one of those foam play mats. With the skill of rolling comes a change in sleep. Once she started rolling back to belly we stopped using the swaddle sack. I was pleasantly surprised how well she did with the transition! It was a few naps of waking up and a few nights where it was hard for her to fall asleep, but she got used to it pretty quickly. She likes to sleep with her hands behind her head. Jordyn did that too! We called it the "living the life of luxury" pose. After a few weeks of sleeping without the swaddle came the dreaded "crying because I flipped over stage". All three of the girls have now gone through this stage. They wake up or get mad because they rolled over onto their belly but don't like it. It makes no sense to me because rolling from belly to back was the first method of rolling they learned! Like her sisters, she got over it after a few nights. More often than not, when we go and check on her before we go to bed, she is on her belly. This picture is kinds goofy but it's how we do meals around here. Eden loves being around people so we just plop her up on the table. She enjoys meal time with her sisters. She doesn't like to be where the family is not. If Kyle or I are cooking she likes to be where she can see us. Last night I took the twins to Target while Kyle worked on dinner. He said she was really fussy. We got home and all sat at the table. We put her in her spot and she was as content as could be! I told Kyle she must not have liked that we left her! Adalyn has been enjoying reading books to Eden. Eden seems really into the books too. The other day we were reading their children's Bible and reading about God making the plants, animals, and people. We learned a song at CCCH that has the line, "God made me" in it. Kyle and I sing that song with the girls and repeat that phrase often. Both girls will say it too if we prompt them. Well, the girls and I were reading their Bible and talking about what God made. I kept saying, "God made me". Adalyn later took the Bible and put it so Eden could see it and pointed to a page and said, "God made me! God made me, baby! God made me!" I was able to get a quick video of it and it is the most precious thing ever! I wish I could load videos on here or I'd post it too. Anyway, it was one of those moments that made me sit back and think, "THIS is why I stay home!" I get to be the one to reinforce what they learn at church and I get to see moments like this one unfold! The only other thing really going on with us is a feeding issue. I hesitate to mention it but I do try and be transparent on these updates. I've had a nursing issue that has resulted in mastitis. This is my second round of mastitis with Eden but this time is appears to be affecting my supply. I am praying for the issue to be resolved and that once the mastitis is healed, the supply will resume to what is was. I will update next month on the outcome! We're hoping to make it to a year like I did with the twins.
This little girl really does bring a lot of joy to our whole family. Kyle and I were talking the other night about how her name is pretty fitting. It means to take delight and we all sure do take delight with her!

We officially moved and are now settled. The girls don't seem to mind! When we pulled up the first night Adalyn said, "Home, Jor-jor!" They were excited to be reunited with their old toys and especially their baby dolls! Jordyn gave her doll a sweet hug when she found it! It was way past their bedtime when we got to the house but we let them stay up and explore. Kyle had the beds set up so they were able to figure out whose rooms were whose. They'd walk in a room and say, "Eden's room" or "mommy daddy's room." We joke that for some home is where the heart is but for them, home is where their toys are! We've already made some friends! The Stark's family is here for the program as well. Dan and Kyle are both doing the program together. He and his wife, Jess, have 2 girls and 1 on the way this month! Halle is 4 and Elli is 2. The girls have had fun playing together and us adults have enjoyed going through this transition together. We just wish we lived a little closer. Things are kinda spread out here. We're pretty far north. It takes about an hour to get downtown. The Stark's are 30 minutes from us which isn't bad... just hard when you have 3 littles in the van and naps to juggle. Somehow I don't have a single picture from when my mom was here so one she took will have to do. (Ashlan may have taken it?!) Anyway, my mom was of course a HUGE help! Not only did she help by keeping the twins while we packed, let us all live at her house a few weeks, let us store the majority of our stuff, help me fly 3 babies and 16 bags across the country, but she also helped entertain the twins while we unpacked! It was nice having her here to help us get used to the new house and area. I cried after she left but have done okay since. I know she misses the girls now but I'm sure she was ready for a break when she left! The girls like their new class! Don't let Eden fool you, she is normally too excited to sleep in her class! That nap only lasted 10 min. The volunteers say she gives lots of smiles! Jordyn and Adalyn get really excited when we walk in their building. We had to wait a few minutes one day and they didn't like that! They wanted in to play and dance! We discovered a new way to burn energy before bed...grass! There is a grassy area on the edge of our neighborhood. There is a sidewalk that goes right by it. If you stand on the sidewalk and walk towards the middle of the grassy area there is a tiny little hill. The girls love to run down the hill. They have been going there in the evenings with Kyle while I feed Eden. They come back exhausted and ready for bed! Kyle sent me this picture one night when he had the girls with him. I melted! So precious!!! In Willowbrook, we used to walk and see the ducks in the afternoon or evening. It gave us something to do and a way to use up some energy. We don't have ducks in our neighborhood but we do have mailboxes! The mailboxes are down the street in a big group. We have always been terrible about checking our mail...just ask my mom! I'm trying to be better about it and we try and walk down there in the afternoon before dinner or before bath. We are very blessed to have a home provided by another family in the church. The house is super nice and the yard is awesome! They even ordered a little play set that should be on its way soon! It's been pretty hot but we've had a few days where it was under 100 and we were able to get out and play in the water. The best part about Arizona is hands down Aunt Ash! Once she got back from Kenya, we've been able to hang out a few nights a week. She saved my life, and the girls' lives, once already! Kyle was on a day trip with his class and was 30 miles from the church and the interstate got shut down due to a gas truck that caught fire! Thankfully the group was safe but stuck in the same spot for 3 hours and had to take a 3 hour detour on top of that to get home. Ashlan helped me get the kids fed and to bed. She has a pretty awesome pool that we love to visit and swim at too! This past week has been really hot! It was 110 one day this week. We have discovered there really isn't a lot of indoor play places here and the ones we have found are pretty expensive. It must be because there are really only 2-3 months where outside is miserable. We are about an hour from the zoo and children's museum so we can't really manage memberships because it would ruin nap time...I need nap time! These pictures were from a gymastics open gym that we heard about. It was SO fun! I've mentioned it already but we're pretty much stuck inside a lot right now. I'm pulling up my Pinterest boards and trying to keep us all busy and maybe even learn a thing of two. The girls are showing a strong interest in colors and letters so we are working on those. I have a play date set up for next week with a mom and Ashlan has 2 friends with kids my kids' ages. I'm hopeful we'll learn more about what Sun City has to offer soon! I also found a MOPS group that still had openings! I loved MOPS at CCCH and was really hoping we'd find one down here! We're really looking forward to fall and being able to go to parks and play in the back yard!
